‘The Language of dreams’ brings together a series of works which explore notions of fantasy, memory and escape. Some of the works, which employ the use of black and white films stills, have been wildly and joyfully appropriated to conjure new, complex and multiple meanings. Infused by a surreal journey into and around the subconscious, the works both individually and collectively, strive to evoke an elusive sense of otherness and despite an enduring air of disquiet, the cumulative effect is one of celebration.
